Rebecca interviewing Clover Stroud at The Yard

In Conversation

Rebecca's passion is chairing author interviews and panel events, indulging her love of books and getting to the nitty gritty of what inspires writers to pick up their pens and tell stories. Rebecca is an experienced literary chair and is also resident host at The Yard Hampshire where she has curated a programme of live author events for the past three years, hosting sell out evenings for a variety of authors and personalities including Nikita Gill, Clover Stroud, Jessie Burton, Brian Bilston, Viv Groskop, Simon Sebag Montefiore, Minnie Driver, Lorraine Candy, Emma Gannon and Women’s Prize Founder, Kate Mosse, to name a few. Her ‘in conversation’ style events have covered numerous topics from music and art to farming and fashion, women’s issues, history, fiction and science.  She has also hosted many foodie events with the likes of Dr Rupy Aujla, Thomasina Miers, Dan Saladino and Skye Gyngell as well as Saturday Kitchen’s Helen McGinn.

Her popular Live Instagram monthly book series, Are You Sitting Comfortably?, co-hosted with influencer and stylist Rebecca Lovatt over @myenglishcountrycottage has been described as 'funny, clever and full of substance' and has featured authors such Charlotte Mendelson, Claire Fuller, Nina Stibbe and Kate Moreton.

Rebecca has hosted many online author events including a live cookalong with Masterchef champions Jane Devonshire and Shelina Permalloo and the launch of internationally renowned author Joanne Harris' novel, A Narrow Door, for Orion Publishing. Other chairing opportunities have included hosting book tour events with Julia Bradbury and Anton du Beke to audience numbers of over 200 (in collaboration with Hungerford Bookshop) as well as a launch at Daunt’s Marylebone for author and painter, SJ Axelby.
